Learn21 Website

UX/UI | Co-op |Fall 2023

Task

During my second semester of my co-op at Learn21, I was tasked to refresh the design of the company website.

Outcome

A new website appearance with a more professional look, still maintaining the Learn21 feel. Consists of a larger focus on consistency, aesthetic, and efficiency.

Usability Evaluation

I critiqued each webpage in detail, coming out with a long series of issues I saw with what currently existed. I then highlighted the common reoccurring design issues and proceeded with heuristic evaluation.

Mood Board Option 02

Approaching the frames with the more educational aspect. Using a lighter palette and imagery that offer a friendly, inviting, and school environment feeling.

Mood Board Option 01

A focus on the more technological side of the company. A darker theme that feels more future driven, highlighting the underlying assets of the business.

Creating an Identity

I created the background animation that is seen on the homepage of the website using my [new at the time] knowledge in After Effects. The use of 3D blocks was an identity I created for the company that has since been consistently used throughout other projects/media.

I wanted to create this animation to bring more motion to the site, as well as add in more personality. Allowing there to be movement on the main page rather than everything being static and uneventful.
